About Paula

I have always been drawn to issues related to humanity, social justice and equality. While studying a bachelor degree in Counselling I was inspired by the curious and intellectual minds of Victor Frankl, Carl Jung, Carl Rogers, Emmy Van Deurzen and many more. These discoveries led me to acknowledge that as a human being it is my responsibility to actively assist others to participate in their own life not to watch their life pass by.

What is Counselling?

Counselling is designed as a talking therapy, which, identifies certain aspect of your life that is keeping you stuck in the same situation and causing you distress. Counselling gently encourages you to develop problem-solving techniques that allows you to understand yourself and to live your life to it’s fullest.

Essential elements of therapy involves incorporating values, individual differences and diversity by encouraging development, adjustment and helping you to improve your well being, understanding the causes of your problems, focusing on prevention, alleviating distress and equipping you with psychological knowledge relevant to your situation.
